Arapahoe Basin News!

Arapahoe Basin Improvements

Snow shredders and skiers should be pleased with the numerous improvements A-Basin is implementing. The primary improvements is the new detachable high speed quad chairlift. The Black Mountain Express will replace the Exhibition triple lift, cutting ride time in half and making loading and unloading easier and safer for all! The lift is expected to be complete and licensed in October and ready to roll before ski season. In addition to the chair lifts, Arapahoe Basin has been renovating their hiking and biking trails. The trails will criss cross the mountain and provide magnificent views! The trails also promises multiple features that are not on standard courses. The third expansion is the Black Mountain Lodge, which will be a prime spot for weddings and large events, given the new access from the lift and trails. The Black Mountain Lodge will be able to accommodate weddings and events starting next summer (2011) and promises to be another venue for mountain weddings. Keystone is the closest place with lodging for Arapahoe Basin skiing and events and the two are quite close to one another! Stay in Keystone and hop on over to Arapahoe Basin for skiing, boarding, biking, or whatever else pleases you!
