Temperatures have recently skyrocketed across the US, reaching over 110 degrees in some areas! Beat the summer heat by planning a trip to the mountains this summer!
The base of Keystone Resort sits at 9,280 feet in altitude, bringing cool and pleasant average daily temperatures that typically range in the 70's to low 80's during the day and 50's overnight. Even if it does feel warm during the day, you can count on things cooling off at night.
Keystone is also home to all sorts of 'cool' activities that allow your to get out on the water. You can spend a day in Lakeside Village at Keystone Lake on a kayak, paddle boat or stand-up paddle board. Your kids will love to feed the local fish and explore the lake! Head over to Lake Dillon for a kayaking Island Tour with Adventure Paddle Tours or rent a pontoon boat and go for a spin around the lake. Grab your fishing rod and cast out into the Snake River. Book a whitewater rafting trip with Performance Tours! Or even simpler, book a condo with an outdoor pool and enjoy relaxing poolside with a good book or playing in the water with your kids! We love The Springs Pool Area at River Run Village, it even has a small water slide for your kids!
Prefer to cool down with a cold beverage on a sunny patio? In the heart of River Run Village, check out Happy Hour at New Moon Cafe or Montezuma Roadhouse. Or, head up to the mountain on the River Run Gondola for some 'cool' views! Hike around or just sit back and relax as you enjoy the incredible 360 degree views!
