Get a taste of Whiskey & Winter at Distilled Speaker & Spirits
Head to Keystone next weekend for one of our favorite winter events! Distilled spirits & speaker series presents: Backcountry & Bourbon at Warren Station on Saturday, January 12. Enjoy a fun and informative evening with small batch bourbon tasting and learning about avalanche safety with the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC).
Aaron Parmet, a CAIC Backcountry Expert will be giving a talk that is themed around Human Factors and decision making in the back country. Joe Larson from Keystone Ski Patrol has had 10 years of experience with Keystone Ski Patrol, as well as in New Zealand and Minnesota in the past. Larson is a Colorado Avalanche Deployment certified dog handler and avalanche technician, an avalanche route leader and is Avalanche 2 certified. There will also be a Protect Our Winters Athlete joining in the evening as well, speaking on how climate change is influencing the mountains and steps we can take against it!
In addition to improving your snow safety knowledge, you can learn all about whiskey from a Jim Beam whiskey expert! You'll get to sample a series of small batch bourbon and learn about its history and aging processes.
All tickets are $20 and include 4 bourbon samples, presentation and a raffle ticket. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the event begins officially at 7 pm. All attendees must be 21 years or older. Free schwag giveaways will be taking place too from the industries premier backcountry companies. Purchase your ticket today!
