Does Keystone Resort Have Electric Vehicle EV Charging Stations

Have you recently made the switch to an electric vehicle and wondered if a mountain getaway is still in the cards? Absolutely! I recently took my new Electric Vehicle to Keystone and was thrilled to find it incredibly EV-friendly at the resort.

Forget any worries about limited charging options. Many condos in Keystone, including where I stayed at Jack Pine Lodge in River Run Village, have EV chargers in the parking garages! After a scenic drive from Denver, I effortlessly plugged in and woke up to a fully charged car, ready for adventure. Keystone makes it easy to enjoy the mountains while driving green.

Here are some of the most common questions we get about EV charging at Keystone:

Q: Are there EV charging stations at Keystone Resort?

A: Absolutely! Keystone Resort offers a variety of charging options for our guests. You'll find Level 2 charging stations conveniently located throughout the resort, including in the River Run Village and Lakeside Village. View the SummitCove Keystone Rental Properties with EV Chargers Here.

Q: How much does it cost to charge my EV at Keystone?

A: Great news! Many of the charging stations at Keystone Vacation Rentals are FREE to use for lodging guests of Keystone Resort.

Q: What types of EV chargers are available at Keystone?

A: The main options are Level 2 chargers, compatible with most electric vehicles. These chargers provide a faster charging experience compared to standard Level 1 outlets.

Q: Do I need to reserve a charging station in advance?

A: While reservations are not typically required, availability can vary depending on the time of year and occupancy. We recommend charging your vehicle during off-peak hours, such as overnight or during the day while you're out enjoying the slopes.

Q: Are there other EV charging options near Keystone?

A: Yes! If you're exploring the surrounding area, you'll find additional charging stations in nearby towns like Dillon and Silverthorne. Several apps and websites, such as PlugShare and ChargeHub, can help you locate these stations.

Q: Any tips for maximizing my EV's range while on a ski trip?

A: Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Cold weather can affect battery performance. Be sure to conserve energy where you can.

  • 4-Wheel Drive or All-Wheel Drive is recommended with any vehicle for driving in the snow, plus snow tires.

  • Regenerative braking can help. Take advantage of downhill stretches to recapture energy and extend your range.

  • Plan your routes and charging stops in advance. This will help minimize range anxiety and ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip to the mountains.
