Again this year, the popular Vail Resorts app, Epic Mix, is adding a new feature to make on mountain activities even easier! Starting this winter, you will be able to track estimated lift line times at Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek. With this new feature, skiers will be able to plan the best route on the mountain and utilize all of their time on the mountain wisely based on where the shortest lines are!
This innovative technology is currently being tested at Perisher Resort in Australia and is set to debut at Colorado's Vail Resorts Mountains this winter during the 2015-2016 ski season. They plan to expand the program to more locations in the upcoming winter seasons. EpicMix uses crowd-surfing wifi and bluetooth technologies to gather and deliver estimated lift wait times. If all goes well, the company plans to expand this technology to some of their other on-mountain facilities, such as restaurant and rental shop wait times in years to come. We are excited to test it out this winter at Keystone!
