Football Season at Keystone Resort: Where to Watch the Big Game

It's Football Season across the country and that doesn't stop when you come to the mountains! While we hope you are a Broncos fan, there are sports bars and restaurants to watch all of the NFL games here in Keystone. Local's Favorite: Haywood Cafe This is the number 1 place that we recommend for watching football in Keystone, especially if you are looking for a more obscure game.  The Haywood Cafe has ALOT of TVS, some bigger than others yes, but they carry every single NFL matchup and some college games too!  They have a great system setup with personal sound systems at every table, so no matter what TV your game is showing on, you will be able to hear what's going on, play by play.  The also have all sorts of great deals and specials, including cheap mystery beers, tasty wings, breakfast all day and some of the best bloody marys in town, including an incredible bacon bloody mary! The Haywood is located at 23110 US Hwy 6 at the Gateway Lodge- right next door to the SummitCove Lodging check-in office!   Best Happy Hour: Dos Locos Dos Locos is a mexican restaurant that serves up a killer happy hour and also will have sports games on.  They have a few TVs scattered throughout the bar area, as well as a projector screen that will typically be playing the 'big' games... GO Broncos!  Their happy hour features great margaritas, $12 premium select pitchers and cheap wings and tacos, as well as an $8 menu for a full meal. Dos Locos is located on Highway 6 in Keystone's Mountain View Plaza, about a quarter mile from the SummitCove Office.   River Run Village: 9280' Taphouse  This place is located right in River Run Village, so if you are staying in a River Run property such as, Buffalo Lodge, Silver Mill, Jack Pine or Red Hawk Lodge, this might be the place for you to walk to!  They have a ton of great beers on tap as well as delicious craft cocktails. There are all sorts of food options, serving both lunch and dinner.  You'll find a few TV's here and they should have at least a couple of games on during your visit.   Worth the Drive: Dillon Dam Brewery Although it's a 10 minute drive from Keystone, the Dillon Dam Brewery is a great spot to watch sports.  They have some insanely huge tvs and great beer, along with delicious food and a really good value happy hour - half price appetizers and $3.25 select pints. Did we mention they have great beer?  Happy Hour is from 3 - 6 daily, with a late night happy hour on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and Brunch specials on Sundays!   Don't worry, we have you covered for your football games during your visit to Keystone!  Bring your favorite jersey to rock while you are out on the ski slopes! If you don't feel like going out, you can always order a pizza delivery from Pizza 101 and watch the game on the big screen in your vacation rental condo!
