Golfing is Now in Full Swing at Keystone Resort
Both golf courses at Keystone, The River and the Keystone Ranch Golf courses are now in full swing for the summer 2018 season. Never golfed here before? Check out what's in store for your golf getaway at Keystone with not one, but two great mountain golf courses.
THE RIVER COURSE AT KEYSTONE
Par: 71
Total yardage: 4,762 - 6,886 yards
Designer: Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry
The par-35 front nine follows along the path of the Snake River and the par-36 back nine winds through a lodgepole pine forest. This course boasts incredible views, challenging elevation changes, variable bunkers, various water hazards, and five sets of tees on each hole to offer a fun and interesting game to golfers of all levels and abilities. You may even spot wildlife during your game, such as a moose or elk!
KEYSTONE RANCH GOLF COURSE
Par: 72
Total yardage: 5,582 and 7,090.
Designer: Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
This course is a classic mountain course that works through tall pine trees, across open meadows and over a nine-acre lake! Enjoy panoramic views as you take in a traditional Scottish-style course on the front nine holes and then go through a rolling mountain layout on the back nine with beautiful views.
There are some great deals available for you while you are here too! Looking for the best deal? Book a twilight tee time after 5 pm and you'll enjoy rates starting at just $60. Even better, junior golfers 17 and under are FREE after 5pm, so this is a great activity to do with your kids! If you are planning on golfing alot this summer, you may want to consider purchasing a golf season pass. The 'Summer Fore Pack' offers up four transferable rounds at either the Keystone Ranch or The River Course between July 1 and August 31. Play must occur after 11 a.m. and 7-day advanced tee times available, for just $440 or $280 for military members. The Spring & Fall Fore Pack offers the same deal, but is valid from now -- June 30 and again September 1 -- Closing Day at $320. Golfing more than 4 times? How about the Colorado Buddy Pass? This gives you access to Keystone's two award-winning courses with 12 transferable 18-hole rounds. Tee times are available for any date or time. Golf car rental and practice facility included on day of play. Cost for this pass is $1,320. There are also some other higher level passes available if you are interested in unlimited golf or for couple's packages.
If you are new to the game, you might want to consider taking a lesson while you are visiting Keystone. Take a private lesson with a PGA Pro for $100 an hour or $50 for a half our. Or, choose a private lesson with a PGA Apprentice for $80 an hour or $40 for a half hour. Keystone also offers all sorts of clinics and events all summer long. There are various clinics available for seniors, just ladies, juniors and more. Many of the clinics include breakfast, lunch, and / or rentals.
