How to Pick the Perfect Vacation Rental in Keystone

1. Choose Your Dates If you are flexible in your travel times, consider non-Holiday weekends or weekday stays, as these are usually the best time to visit the resort.  You can usually find some great deals and you will notice the difference on the slopes too- the lack of crowds will make you feel like you have the whole mountain to yourself.  If you are coming during a peak time, be sure to book your lodging early and look for lift tickets online in advance to get the best selection and pricing. 2. Decide on Location Familiarize yourself with the area and the different villages located within Keystone Resort.  The nice thing about Keystone is the free shuttle system, which services almost all of our properties, and in just 2-6 minutes you will be at the slopes.  If you don't mind taking the shuttle, you can usually find some great prices on condos that are outside of the main village areas, like these in West Keystone.  If you want to walk to the slopes, River Run and Mountain House properties will be your best bet.  Chateaux DuMont, Lone Eagle, Slopeside, The Springs, and The Timbers are all just steps away from the lifts, the ultimate in convenience for your next Keystone vacation! 3. Name Your Price Decide on a nightly budget or how much you'd like to spend overall and that will certainly help narrow down the options. 4. The Wish List Are your kids pool lovers?  Do you dream of a fireplace, private hot tub or outdoor grill?  Is private laundry a must? SummitCove offers you the opportunity to pick the exact property that you will be staying at, based on what is important to you in a vacation rental. You can even search for properties based on amenities, so you can find exactly what you are looking for! 5. Travel Insurance SummitCove offers travel insurance with every reservation, but you do have the option to opt out.  Insurance covers you for a wide variety of cancellation reasons, trip delays, and other life happenings such as loss of employment and illnesses.  If your flight gets canceled or I-70 gets closed due to adverse weather, you are covered!  We highly recommend travel insurance and have plenty of stories of happy guests who were glad to have it!
