Keystone Resort is getting ready to open for the 2013 / 2014 ski season, this Friday, November 1st! 65 acres from top to bottom on Dercum Mountain will be open starting at 9am and running until 4 p.m. There will be multiple lifts running, as well as beginner lifts with a magic carpet. Sections of the A-51 terrain park with over 20 features that include beginner, intermediate, and advanced options. It will be one of the largest early season parks in the whole country!
There are tons of fun activities planned for opening day including free donuts from Keystone's renowned pastry chef, Ned Archibald served with coffee and hot chocolate at the base of the River Run Gondola. Since Keystone is entering their 43rd season, they will be giving away a complimentary Starbucks mug and gift card to the first 43 guests in line at the gondola! The first 200 skiers and riders in line for the first chair will receive raffle tickets for chances to win some awesome prizes including a GoPro Hero 3, Never Summer Snowboard and Keystone Resort logo wear.
Opening weekend also features the Get Stoked Movie Festival on Friday and Saturday Nights at Warren Station. Some of the movies that will be shown include GO! - A Snowboard Road Trip, Nation presented by Transworld Snowboarding, Brain Dead Heart Attack presented by Think Thank, The Wallisch Project presented by Kyle Decke, Partly Cloudy presented by Level 1 Productions, and Tracing Skylines presented by Poor Boyz will all be shown over the weekend. Doors on both nights open at 7PM, with the films starting at 7:30PM. It's just $5 general admission seating and free for children 12 and under.
