The play, starring Diane Gadmoski, Harvey Blanks, and Chris Reid spans twenty-five years during which Hoke, a newly hired black chauffeur drives Daisy Wertham, a rich, sharp tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two. The two, despite their mutual differences, grow ever closer and more dependent upon each other. Eventually, they become almost a couple. Winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize, DRIVING MISS DAISY, also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Play.
