Shred and Shine- Your Guide to an Epic Spring Break Adventure at Keystone

Spring break: visions of sandy beaches might spring to mind. But this year, ditch the predictable and embrace an unforgettable mountain adventure at Keystone Ski Resort! Think sun-soaked slopes, powder stashes that linger, and vibrant après-ski under the Colorado sky. Sound tempting? Buckle up, because we're about to unveil the ultimate guide to your epic Keystone Spring Break!

Carve Your Way into Spring Break Bliss at Keystone:

  • Slopeside Bliss: Keystone boasts three mountains, each offering unique terrain for all levels. Cruise groomers on the front side of Dercum Mountain, challenge yourself in the trees of Outback, or hit the steeps and trees off of North Peak. Bonus - there's over 550 new acres to explore in the new 'Bergman Bowl' off the Bergman Express Lift as of winter 2024! Spring conditions often mean softer, more forgiving snow, making it the perfect time to learn or refine your skills.
  • Powder Pockets: Don't be fooled by all of the sunshine! Spring often delivers some of the biggest snowfalls of the season and powder can linger for days after the storms! Look for those 'stashes' in the trees!
  • Night Skiing: Few resorts in Colorado even offer night skiing and you can really get your money's worth when you can ski for 10+ hours in one day! We love night skiing at Keystone in March because the days are longer with the sun setting later, the temperatures tend to be warmer and the sunsets are stunning!

  • Après with a View: Soak in the sunshine and mountain vistas on-mountain at La Bonte's cabin, where you can enjoy a cold one in an adirondack chair at the base of the Santiago Lift. Or
order a post-shred beverage at one of Keystone's many outdoor patios. From margaritas at Last Lift Bar to craft beers at The Kickapoo or Steep Brewery, there's something for everyone.

Labonte’s Cabin is located in between Dercum Mountain and North Peak, so you can ski right down to live music! Grab a chair, some bbq, a beer and enjoy the sun and music on the mountain this spring.

Fuel Up for Adventure & Après with Great Dining Options:

Keystone's dining scene is diverse and delicious. Here are some suggestions to tantalize your taste buds:

  • Mountain House: Savor a steak or pasta dinner at the Snake River Saloon or enjoy tacos and margs at Dos Locos.
  • Lakeside Village: Watch the ice skaters at Keystone Lake as you chow down on pizza at Nowhere Pizza & Pub or enjoy fine-dining (or a great happy hour!) at the Bighorn Bistro inside the Keystone Lodge and Spa.
  • River Run Village: There are so many choices! Grab a pizza and a craft beer at STEEP or indulge in fresh Mexican specialties at Lime Cantina. Get a grab and go breakfast on your way to the slopes at New Moon Cafe or sit down for a fine meal at the Zuma Roadhouse.
  • Après-Ski Delights: Catch live music on the patio often at STEEP or a yummy appetizer and drinks on the patio at Kickapoo Tavern!
  • Fine-Dining: Keystone is home to a number of incredible fine dining options, including the renowned Keystone Ranch and the historic Ski Tip Lodge in East Keystone.  Be sure to make reservations in advance!

Beyond the Slopes:

Keystone offers more than just skiing and snowboarding. Take a break from the slopes and explore:

  • Ice Skating: Glide across the ice rink at Keystone Lake.
  • Snow Fort: One of the most unique finds at Keystone is the larger than life snow fort at the top of Dercum Mountain - it's fun for the whole family!
  • Zip Lining: Feel the rush of the cold mountain air as you fly high over the winter white landscapes with Top of the Rockies zip line!
  • Sleigh Rides: This is something you'll remember for years to come, sipping hot cocoa under the starry night sky on a sleigh ride in the mountains
  • Snowmobiling: Thrill-seekers can explore the backcountry on a guided snowmobile tour.
  • BONUS: Swim in the sunshine at one of Keystone's many heated outdoor pools!  We particularly love the pools at Red Hawk, Dakota Lodge, The Springs and Lone Eagle!
