Top 10 List: Springtime at Keystone
1. Lunch at LaBonte's Cabin
Labonte's boasts the best BBQ smokehouse and the best beach on the mountain with Adirondack chairs and tunes to match the scene. Soak up that Colorado Sunshine and re-fuel for the rest of your day! Easiest way to get here: Take the gondola up from River Run and head straight back down Mozart to the bottom.
2. Snow Tubing
Tubing is even MORE fun when you do it on a warm sunny day! Head up the gondola to the Adventure Point Tubing Hill- its fun for the whole family!
3. Learn a New Sport!
Spring is the perfect time to be adventurous! Thinking of getting on a snowboard or perhaps the new craze of Snowbiking? Maybe you are a skier but have always wanted to try Tele-Skiing... Spring conditions are great for learning- temperatures are warm and the snow is more forgiving. Take a lesson or learn from a friend!
4. Shop til You DROP!
Spring is a great time to find killer deals. All of the shops are making way for their summer gear, so you can find some great bargains on winter gear. Stock up for next year or pick up something you've been needing.
5. Apres Ski: Happy Hour at 9280'!
River Run's best deck- knock back a great microbrew, enjoy the live music and DJ lineup. It's always fun at 9280'.
6. Cross-Country Skiing at the Nordic Center
Bright sunshine makes for a beautiful afternoon in the mountains. Cross-Country Skiing is a great workout and a unique way to see the Colorado landscape and maybe even some wildlife!
7. Scavenger Hunt!
Team up with some of your friends to create a fun scavenger hunt. My friends and I look for things like skiers wearing blue jeans, riders in fanny packs, cowboy hats, neon boots and a skiing Yeti!
8. $5 Friday Night Concerts!
Throughout the month of March, head to Warren Station on Friday Nights for some AWESOME LIVE MUSIC- shake your booty for only 5 bucks!
9. Goggle Tan and Mustache March Contests
See who can get the best 'goggle' tan or grow the most outrageous mustache!
10. The Beach at A-Basin
The stuff of Legends! Reserve a spot or camp out at others- the infamous "Beach" scene cannot be replicated by any other ski resort in Colorado. The Beach backs up to the three lower mountain chairlifts, snow and great skiable terrain. Bring your own BBQ, beverages, and lawn chairs for a great day!
