Upcoming Ski & Ride Clinics in Summit County Designed Especially for Women

Every once in a while it can be nice to get away from all the guys on the mountain and meet some fellow ladies to ski with. Summit County is helping make this a possibility by providing a few upcoming options for women's only events and ski and ride clinics.  Some of the resorts also have weekly opportunities for ladies to get out and meet other people, all the while getting some coaching on your technique.  If you are simply looking for some girls to ski with every week, Arapahoe Basin has their 'Legendary Ladies' clinics that go on most Wednesdays. These clinics have no larger than a 1:6 instructor to skier ratio. If you are already a pass holder, you can participate for $70 a day, just pay when you get there. They also have multi-day discounts if you anticipate participating in this clinic more than once. The clinic goes from 10am to 1pm on select Wednesdays through March. Please visit: Legendary Ladies - Arapahoe Basin for more dates and details.

Breckenridge also holds a Women and Wine program that involves a half day lesson starting at 1:15pm. The groups are split up due to skill level and the day ends with a glass of wine (included in price) for apres! This is open to girls under the age of 21 also, but they will be served a non-alcoholic beverage at the end of the day. This program happens most Wednesdays and is $69 per person, (lift ticket is not included in the rate).

If you are looking for something a little more in depth and are planning a specific weekend to come out, there are a couple of options in the area. Breckenridge Resort is holding a Women's Camp the weekend of February 20-22. This camp is for women of all ability levels ages 15 & up. More information can be found here: Women's Camp - Breckenridge. Keystone Resort is also offering up their second weekend of 'BettyFest'. This is a weekend-long program that involves a good balance of instruction and fun. It will allow you to meet several other ladies to ski with at your skill level. This will be going on February 28 and March 1. For pass holders, the two days of instruction, among some other fun things, will run you $275. If you do not have a season pass, there are specially priced lift tickets for those participating, at $78 for two days. In addition to the professional instruction and camaraderie, on Day 1 all participants get to enjoy a one of a kind lunch at the Alpenglow Stube!  Apres drink and appetizer specials will be available to everyone as well. You may find more information on Keystone's BettyFest Weekend here.

For more details and information on all these programs, please follow the links to the corresponding events. If you are thinking it is time to ditch the boys and find some ladies to shred with, take advantage of all Summit County has to offer!
