Summit County is hosting the world’s highest triathlon in Dillon, Colorado this year. The race features a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run. 106º West is setting a new standard for competition as athletes from around the world gather in the heart of the Rocky Mountains on September 10, 2016. Exclusive permission has been granted to the event to host the swim portion in famous Lake Dillon, which has never previously allowed swimmers. 106° West will feature a “half-ironman” and “quarter-man” distance for triathletes from all over the world.
All participants in the race will receive a 106º West Athlete Tee, Cowboy hat, and beer. All finishers will receive a custom 106º West belt buckle to commemorate their experience and accomplishment for a job well done and being a part of history in the making.
