Events in Keystone and Summit County This Weekend

Fall is the perfect opportunity to take a weekend vacation up to the mountains! The Aspen leaves are beginning to change, the crowds are diminishing and there are plenty of events to take advantage of in the high country. If you're headed to Keystone this weekend, here are a few things that you can check out in Summit County while enjoying the fall weather!  
Keystone
Starting this Friday, September 9th, Keystone's Restaurant Week begins! Enjoy delicious eats at a great price. Throughout River Run Village, restaurants will be featuring specials as well as live music. Keystone's Restaurant week goes through September 9th - 18th.

Dillon / Keystone On Saturday, Summit County will be hosting it's first triathlon, 106 West Tri, which also boasts being the 'highest' triathlon in the world at 10,291 feet.  The race starts with a 1.2 mile swim in Lake Dillon (a new privilege that has never been allowed before), a 56 mile cycle race that will pass right through Keystone and up Montezuma road and finishing with 13.1 mile run around part of the Lake.  Book discounted event lodging with SummitCove here.  This event will be a blast to watch, and you may even be able to see the bikers from your Keystone condo!
Dillon
Head over to Lake Dillon Drive between 9am and 2pm to check out the Dillon Farmer's Market this Friday! Grab lunch and catch the live music while you browse the local food and crafts for sale.
And you won't want to miss the last summer concert at the Dillon Amphitheater, The John Truscelli Band. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the sunset at this gorgeous outdoor venue. Show starts at 7pm.
Arapahoe Basin 
Arapahoe Basin is hosting their final summer event on September 11th, a Clam Bake and Oyster Boil! Head over to the base of the mountain for live music and an open bar from 3pm-6pm. Buy an adult ticket for $42 or a child ticket for $15, to enjoy a picnic style meal on the deck. To check availability and make a reservation, call A-Basin Guest Services at 888-272-7246.
Frisco
Check out local artists from all over Colorado this Saturday and Sunday at Frisco Fall Fest. Meet the artists, and maybe find something to take back home from 10am - 5pm each day. There will also be a beer and margarita garden open daily to suit everyone's taste!  Saturday features free live music from Caribou Mountain Collective from 12 - 2pm, and Page 6ix from 3 - 5pm.
And if you want to make it a long weekend, head into town Thursday night to catch a free show at the Barkley Ballroom by Northern Strangers - a psychedelic folk rock band, joined, and Float like a Buffalo - a folk, funk, rock influenced group.
Breckenridge
If you missed Keystone's Oktoberfest last weekend, you still have a chance to "Prost!" with your friends at the Breckenridge Oktoberfest this weekend! Grab a Paulaner Beir and german cuisine on Friday from 2 - 6pm, Saturday 11 - 6pm and Sunday11 - 5pm, on Breckenridge Main Street.
Copper Mountain
This weekend Copper Mountain is hosting the Dirty Girls Mud Run! Start the weekend off by heading to C. B. Grill at 7pm to enjoy Wine Night benefiting Bright Pink, a non profit focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer. Saturday morning, the 3.1 mile (5K) obstacle course starts at 10am, and is followed by a costume contest and live music in the village. Finish the weekend out strong with Sunrise Yoga at 7am, followed by Bennies and Bubbly Brunch at JJ's Tavern. And for those of you with energy left after all of that - sign up for the Golf Tournament at Copper Creek Golf Course! Tee-time is 11am.  Event tickets are available individually, as well as in a combined package.
