Gear Up for Keystone's Annual Beer and Bluegrass Festival in August!

It's May 1st, which means we are officially just  three months away from one of the most anticipated weekends of the year! Dust off your dancing shoes and get your palate ready, because the 29th Annual Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival is returning to River Run Village on August 1st and 2nd, 2026.

As Colorado’s longest-running craft beer festival, this event transforms Keystone into a high-country haven of string bands and suds. Whether you're a die-hard bluegrass fan or just in it for the Colorado brews, here is everything you need to know to plan your ultimate August getaway.

The Sounds & The Sips

This year’s lineup is already shaping up to be legendary. You can expect free live performances from incredible acts like the Larry Keel Experience, The Brothers Comatose, Silas Herman & the Tone Unit and the Charlie Stevens Band. With over 30 craft breweries showcasing their best pours, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to find your new favorite pint while soaking in the mountain sunshine.

Family Fun at the Festival

Bluegrass and Beer isn't just for the adults! The KidZone is back and better than ever, located in the heart of the village. Kids can enjoy:

  • FREE crafts with The Frosted Flamingo

  • The interactive Chalk Zone

  • The mind-bending Cave of Confusion

  • Professional face painting and more!

Summer in the High Country

August is a prime time to be in Keystone. When you aren't at the festival, you can take a scenic gondola ride to the top of Dercum Mountain for breathtaking views of the Tenmile Range, or head over to Keystone Lake for some family paddle boating. If you’re feeling adventurous, the wildflower bloom should still be around in early August make for some of the most beautiful hiking and mountain biking of the season.

Where to Stay: Top Picks in River Run Village

To truly experience the festival, you’ll want to be right in the heart of the action. Staying in River Run Village means you are just steps away from the stages and the tasting tents. Here are two of our favorite condos currently available in our SummitCove Lodging program:

  1. Silver Mill 8154 (1 Bedroom): This charming 1-bedroom condo offers a cozy, rustic mountain vibe with modern amenities. It’s perfect for couples or small families who want a front-row seat to the village festivities and easy access to the shared hot tubs after a day of dancing.

  2. Black Bear 8064 (2 Bedroom): If you need a bit more space, this 2-bedroom unit is a festival favorite with one of the best views of the stage and festival. It's kid-friendly, spacious, and has a hot-tub on site, plus access to the year-round heated pool in the village.
